Inspired by the song “Water is Wild” by Elevation Worship and the truth of Romans 6: 3–4, this print embodies the spiritual energy and symbolism of the original acrylic painting.   "Water is Wild" is a visual expression of baptism.  “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” Romans 6: 3–4
As I painted, these lyrics stood out, “Start living in the promises, like you know who your Father is” and “Oh, I’ve been baptized in the water and the water is wild.”
Swirling patterns represent the Holy Spirit in motion, while layered shades of blue reflect the wild, living water of Jesus. Holographic glitter radiates His glory, and shimmering layers of iridescent paint and fine glitter allude to the unseen spiritual realm and angelic activity stirred by prayer.
