"Water is Wild" is a visual expression of baptism, inspired by the powerful song Water is Wild by Elevation Worship and the truth of Romans 6: 3–4: “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”
As I painted, these lyrics stood out, “Start living in the promises, like you know who your Father is” and “Oh, I’ve been baptized in the water and the water is wild.”
Swirling patterns represent the Holy Spirit in motion, while layered shades of blue reflect the wild, living water of Jesus. Holographic glitter radiates His glory, and shimmering layers of iridescent paint and fine glitter allude to the unseen spiritual realm and angelic activity stirred by prayer.
 
Let Water is Wild serve as a daily reminder of baptism—declaring Jesus is Lord, being buried with him/dying to self, and then raised to life in Christ.
